[ He looks a little tired for a moment before he breathes in deeeeep. ]
My hands certainly aren't clean. [ Do you know how many people Kiryu has beaten up over the years, Misty? So many people. At once. Or in a row. Or in a row and then at once. ] And being a yakuza means being part of a criminal organization, yes.
[ Maybe- maybe he can just kind of... give her a little something and they can move on. He's pretty sure it won't work, but he doesn't mind giving her this much. ]
I'm known as the Dragon of Dojima. [ The only saving grace here is that he's now considered Daigo's dragon, and not Sohei's. Fuck Sohei. ] And the Yondaime. The fourth chairman.
[If he's expecting shock, or horror, or disgust... he gets none of the above. She'd been a bit surprised when she'd first heard about his status at home, especially considering that he hadn't started out as an inmate like Pagan did, but she's pretty well beyond that now.]
You must have some really cool stories... even if you're ashamed of them now. Did you have a change of heart?
We're friends now. I'm sure the next time he shows up, he'll look you up.
He likes to know what's going on with me. And usually, it's a good thing he does.
[ ...you see why he's used to nosy? Because he's used to nosy. And in everything. And joining him on every hobby. He appreciates it, actually. Far too many people just leave him alone or get intimidated.]
How did he get you to like him even though he's nosy?
[Pagan has informed her that "how to you con people into liking you" is not an acceptable method of friend-making, but she's not quite sold on that yet.]
Re: spam
That's... hard to explain.
[ Mostly because she's just... not in that world, doesn't know what it's like or how things work. ]
Either Pagan or I have told you I'm yakuza, right?

Re: spam
Let's put it that way.
[ His life has been... insane. And his legend is... similarly bonkers. All the more difficult to get through for being true.]

Re: spam
I'm not ashamed of any of them. And I wouldn't say I had a change of heart.
There's decisions I wish I'd made differently, but that was about how I chose to take care of the people closest to me. Not being a yakuza.
That's in my blood, etched on my skin. It's part of me. I don't regret it.

Re: spam
It doesn't feel like there's much to say. And it's hard to explain to people from upright society.
Majima-no-nii-san is a part of that world, too. There's a lot of context that puts things into perspective.
Talking about my kids or some of my other jobs is easier because people understand that a little more.

Re: spam
[ He frowns as he tries to figure out how to say this. ]
Pagan might be able to explain better. He knows. And he's better at talking about it.
I'll tell him I don't mind. I promise.

[A nice euphemism for "I murdered Pagan's dad".]
Why don't you want to talk about the notes?

Why do you want to know about the notes so bad?

He stole my favorite shirt. Not too much else happened.

Re: spam
I just see how I feel about someone or something and decide if I like it or not.

Didn't Pagan give you my name?

Re: spam
We didn't start as friends, even though it happened pretty quickly.
